Corregidor Island

Corregidor has been in my bucket list for quite some time now. I have a thing for old museums, islands, and places to travel to. So last week I finally decided to book a tour to Corregidor. Sun cruises would be your choice of agency when you go here, not that you have any other choice, because they pretty much have a monopoly in the place. But lets not go there, since I've enjoyed this tour more than anything else. The usual tour in the Island starts at 7:30 departure in Manila and you'd be there at around 10:30 more or less. But it was fully book already when I was setting this tour so I called and they have another tour that starts at 11:30 am departure. We got on the island at 1:45 pm, and I was about to have a worst day because they were not that coordinated because we got left by the tram that was about to pick us up to go to the hotel. But being with G we just had to create the most fun in everything. While waiting, because the others where already hoisted somewhere, we got the entrance port all to ourselves. So looking on the bright side, we got photos without photobombers. Hahaha!

We got picked up by the tram and headed for the hotel, ate our lunch and inquired about our walking tour. I was actually having second thoughts on our walking tour because technically KAME LANG DALAWA, all of the other guest were riding a tram. But later on in serves well that we had no other people to bother us, and we got the guide, Sir Gener Lino, all to ourselves.

To make it more interesting, some of the places we went to with our guide were not even supposedly included in our tour. But since it was just us he was our guide, our photographer, and our friend. :) All of the places we went to were people free and we had ample amount of time to do our picture taking without anyone making us hurry. We were so happy with our tour that we gave him our thank you tips .

I'm all encouraging you to go here, you'll definitely learn a lot. And because the commerce when it comes to heritage sites have depleted compared to our beaches in the Philippines. It's more fun to learn our culture first and then go to our beautiful beaches. A thing or two to learn. Plus being transported back in time.  Happy travels.

At the start of our tour

The first hospital built in corregidor

A bit creepy, I know. We were touring the hospital all to ourselves.

This is the Mile Long Barracks, still the longest barracks in the world.

Yup, they have their own Cinema back then, the most modern Island in the Philippines during this era.

The inside of the Japanese Cave.

Kunware sweet habang nasa Taas ng island.hahahah!

The Lighthouse

Malinta Tunnel.
