Surf's up: BALER

Baler Philippines is a municipality located in Aurora, Central Luzon. It is also known as one of the top Surf spots in the Philippines and in South-east Asia. We travelled from Pampanga and it took us around 5 hours to reach the Poblacion in Baler. It is a progressive town with its own banks and a lot of places to chill and have drinks at night as well. It is a haven for people like me who just wants to enjoy the sceneries of the area and try to surf as well. I travelled with my boyfriend and two of my friends from Highschool, Keith and AJ. Nothing beats a long ride with people who you enjoy to be with. Non- stop sightseeing, making a fool of each other and eating inside the car.

We stayed at Bay Inn's in Sabang beach which cost 1600/night at a weekend rate with eat all you can breakfast. Since we arrived there by lunch time, we decided to eat our lunch at the Poblacion before checking in.

The hotel we stayed in is located beside the Costa Pacifica Resort as well. But we are also located at the beach front.

By the afternoon we tried Surfing at a rate of 350/pax for 1 hour with trainer. The waves were literally crashing me, it was so hard to learn. I think its because of the amihan as well, the waves were harsh. But I really enjoyed the experience. Next time I'll practice first at Crystal Beach and La union before hitting another try at Baler.

After surfing we just enjoyed the rest of the afternoon until  sunset before we go for dinner.

that's how harsh the waves were.

Our signature GLadventure pose 💕

We wanted to drink the night away but we were so tired that I just really wanted to rest for the night. Since the next day we would do our tour around the Province.
We initially saw post from the Dicasalarin Lighthouse and wanted to go there as well, but we were running out of time so we just decided to go to the nearby places first. Given the time, we can just go to Baler again and enjoy Dipaculao Beach Aurora which I've read from a blog that boast a pristine white beach. 😍

We went to the hanging bridge of Baler first. The two boys were afraid of heights. Haha!

Then to the mother falls of Baler. Note that if it's your first time they do require a guide and that you'll be trekking for 30 mins to an hour depending on your pace. You can bring extra clothes if you want to swim in the falls as well, they have changing rooms in the area. Bring water as well or light snacks, but you can also buy there, there are a few mini stores in the area going to the falls. And please, wear comfortable shoes.

Our last stop is at the Balete Tree. It has a fee of 10 pesos. You can climb the tree if you want to and you can also go inside of it. I would just also want to share with you that you should BUY the peanut butter they sell there. It is so yummy that as of writing I wanted to scold myself for not buying 2 bottles. Haha. It is just so flavorful and yummy. 💕❤️

How to go there
1- Once at Sctex, take the Tarlac Exit
